Smart Goal 1
To continue to use my self care skills.
I will make a new self care list by March 9th 2017
I will use my self care card as a reminder
I will get at least 7 hours of sleep every night when I can
Smart Goal 2
Goal 2 To create and use self care strategies to manage field related stressors and balance placement/personal life throughout the semester. Strategy a I will use and continue to add to my self care kit, this includes things like; Mandela colouring pages, stress relief hand lotion and body scrub, Strategy b I will keep home at home and placement at placement. To not got home each night and feel like I need to keep searching for answers or programming while also leaving my emotions and feeling of what happens out side of placement at the door before going. I will leave Sunday nights (2hrs max) plus placement breaks to create programs. Strategy c I will use my resources and supports such as professors, supervisors, family/friends and gain knowledge to allow for growth in strategies that may need practice over the semester.
Smart Goal 3
To approach all challenges/conflict regarding placement assertively and proactively as they happen during the course of the semester. Strategy a I will label my emotions as I can get emotional when it comes to personal situations, therefore waiting and trying to practice out what is going to be said before can allow for a more professional and clear approach. Strategy b I will be confident in my abilities to problem solve and not second guess myself. Having a conflict outline made to use when needed.. Strategy c I will use these three reflective tools such as assessing my own thoughts or actions, improvement in self and also as a CYC to help identify not only my needs/ challenges but also team members and eventually children/youth.
